Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, email us at soporte@verypyme.com.

EU Voluntary Standard (VS)

What is the EU Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard (VS)?

It is the EU standard for voluntary sustainability reporting by companies outside the CSRD's mandatory scope, set out in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560. It is the evolution of EFRAG's former VSME and keeps its structure: a basic module and a comprehensive one.

Is my company required to use the VS?

No, its use is voluntary. Following Directive (EU) 2026/470, the EU reporting obligation (CSRD) is limited to companies with more than 1,000 employees and more than €450 million in net turnover. Even so, it can be useful when customers, banks or tenders ask you for information.

What does the VS limit in value-chain requests?

For financial years starting on or after 1 January 2027, a company subject to the CSRD may only require, for its sustainability report, the information set out in the VS from value-chain companies with up to 1,000 employees. It does not affect other purposes, such as due diligence or risk management.

What does it mean that VeryPyme is aligned with the VS?

That the assessment and the report follow its structure and logic. It does not mean that VeryPyme or its reports are certified, audited or validated by any public authority. The VeryPyme certificate is the platform's own document, not an official certification.

General

What is VeryPyme?

VeryPyme is a self-service platform for SMEs and sole traders. It helps you calculate your carbon footprint, assess your sustainability with the ESG Assessment aligned with the VS, identify climate risks per site, build an action plan and generate a share-ready sustainability report.

Who is it for?

For sole traders, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that need sustainability documentation in a simple way — for clients, suppliers, banks, tenders or internal reporting.

What does free access include, and what do the packs include?

Access to the platform is free: ESG Assessment, carbon footprint calculation, climate risks, action plan and dashboard. Packs are per reporting year and differ by deliverables: the Footprint Pack includes the carbon footprint report; the Complete Pack adds the sustainability report aligned with the VS, the VeryPyme certificate, sharing results via links, web badges and the value-chain module to invite and track your suppliers.

Do I need technical knowledge?

No. The platform guides you step by step and is designed to be completed using typical business data. You can progress gradually and resume anytime.

How long does it take to complete?

It depends on what you already have available. The footprint can be completed quickly if you have energy/fuel data; the sustainability section can be completed at your own pace depending on how much detail you want to provide.

Does it adapt to my sector?

Yes. The questionnaire and recommendations adapt proportionally to your sector and size to keep the results relevant. The price does not depend on size.

Can I change my company size or sector if I made a mistake?

Yes. You can update employees, turnover or sector and the questionnaire adapts to the new data. This does not change the price of the packs.

Is my data safe?

Your data is used only to generate your results and reports in VeryPyme and is not shared with third parties without your consent. It is hosted in the European Union (Belgium), and AI processing also takes place in the EU (Netherlands).

Free access and ESG Assessment

How do I get started?

Create your free account with your email, Google or Microsoft and access the platform. You get in for free, progress at your own pace and purchase a pack once your needs are clear.

What is the ESG Assessment?

It is VeryPyme’s sustainability assessment, aligned with the VS and organised into six blocks: Environment, Social, Governance, Value chain, Transparency and Context. The result is a VeryPyme Score, overall and per block, with a level: Initial, Basic, Intermediate or Complete.

What is the Smart ESG Assessment?

You upload your documentation (or reuse what you already have) and VeryPyme fills in the assessment with proposed answers, each linked to the supporting document. You review, correct and finalise. AI is a support tool: validation is always yours.

Is my progress saved if I close the page?

Yes. Your progress is saved so you can continue later.

Can I edit my answers?

Yes, you can change your answers while the assessment is open. Your results update based on what you complete.

Can I mark something as “Not applicable”?

Yes. If something doesn’t apply to your activity, you can mark it accordingly to keep the result proportional and coherent.

Report, footprint & deliverables

What deliverables do I get?

It depends on the pack for the reporting year. Footprint Pack: carbon footprint report (and, for companies in Spain, supporting documentation for the national footprint registry). Complete Pack: in addition, sustainability report aligned with the VS, VeryPyme certificate, sharing results via links, web badges and the value-chain module to invite and track your suppliers. The goal is to have clear documentation you can share with clients, suppliers or banks.

Companies in Spain: does the footprint include documentation for the national registry?

Yes, for companies in Spain. The footprint is calculated following the GHG Protocol (scopes 1, 2 and 3) with official emission factors, and the Footprint Pack includes supporting documentation to prepare the application to the Spanish national carbon footprint registry. Your company files it: VeryPyme does not handle or guarantee the registration.

Is the report valid for CSRD/ESRS?

VeryPyme is designed for SMEs and sole traders with the proportional approach of the VS. Full ESRS/CSRD reporting typically requires broader scope and, in many cases, external assurance.

Do I need to upload evidence/documents?

You can add evidence and notes to strengthen the report (policies, invoices, energy data, certificates, records). A baseline report can be generated with declared data; evidence improves credibility when needed.

What are location-based climate risks?

A module that assesses the physical risks of each site: river and coastal flooding, desertification, wildfires, seismic risk (historical) and volcanic risk (proximity), plus the surrounding environment and protected areas. Each risk is rated Low, Medium, High or Very high using official sources (Spanish national sources, EEA, Copernicus) and can be turned into action plan items.

Can I use the report for supply chain requests or tenders?

Yes. It’s designed to respond to common ESG information requests in supply chains. For tenders, always check the specific tender requirements.

Can I update the report if my data changes?

Yes, while the reporting year is open you can update your answers and data. Each reporting year has its own report; the following year you prepare the report for the new year.

Pricing, payments & support

How much does it cost?

Access to the platform is free. Packs are per reporting year, with a one-off payment: Footprint Pack €50 + VAT and Complete Pack €199 + VAT. The price does not depend on company size. Check the pricing section for details.

Can I purchase only the carbon footprint?

Yes, with the Footprint Pack (€50 + VAT). If you later want the Complete Pack for the same reporting year, you only pay the difference: €149 + VAT.

What VAT applies?

21% VAT in mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands. The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla have their own tax treatment, applied automatically at checkout.

How do I pay?

Secure card payment (and other methods if available in your checkout). After payment you continue directly in your customer area.

Do you issue invoices?

Yes. Add your billing details during checkout.

Can I pause and continue later?

Yes. Your progress is saved so you can resume anytime.

Are refunds possible?

It depends on the service status. If you have an issue, email us and we’ll review it case by case.

How can I contact support?
